Hi, I am Taevinn Crowley(tc.flickz).

Hi! I’m Taevinn Crowley, a 16-year-old photographer based in Boise, Idaho. I’m currently attending Mountain View High School, where I’m balancing my studies with my passion for photography. Though I’ve only been practicing photography since October 2024, it has quickly become an essential part of my life, particularly in the realms of sports and portrait photography.

When I first picked up a camera, I was immediately drawn to the dynamic energy of sports. The fast-paced action, the emotion, and the raw intensity of athletes in motion inspired me. Whether it’s capturing the triumphant moment of a game-winning shot or the determination on an athlete’s face during a critical play, I love how sports photography allows me to tell powerful stories through my lens. There’s something special about freezing a moment of athleticism that showcases not only the physical skill but also the passion and dedication that athletes pour into their craft.

Alongside sports photography, I’ve also developed a deep interest in portrait photography. I find the challenge of capturing the personality, emotion, and unique traits of an individual incredibly rewarding. Each portrait tells a different story, and I’m always aiming to connect with my subjects to capture them at their most authentic. Whether it’s a dramatic, high-energy shot or a quieter, introspective moment, I love the challenge of bringing out the essence of a person through my photography.

Living in Boise has provided me with plenty of opportunities to explore both of these interests. The sports scene here is vibrant, from school games to local events, and I’ve had the privilege of photographing athletes in a variety of sports. The community is full of talented individuals, and I’m always excited to document their journey and achievements. At the same time, the people I meet in this city—whether they’re athletes, artists, or everyday individuals—offer endless inspiration for my portrait work.

Since starting my photography journey, I’ve been focused on improving my technical skills and learning how to capture those “decisive moments.” I love experimenting with different techniques—whether it’s shooting at the perfect moment during a game or finding creative ways to light and compose a portrait to highlight a subject’s character. Each photo is an opportunity to grow as a photographer, and every session brings a new challenge that keeps me excited and motivated to keep learning.

While I’m still early in my photography career, I’m passionate about capturing the energy and emotion of both sports and people, and I’m excited to continue evolving my style. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me, and I’m always open to new opportunities, whether it’s collaborating with athletes, teams, or individuals for portraits.
